We still know very little about MOOCs, from a research and assessment standpoint. One benefit of being a Coursera partner is that we are provided with a wealth of data, dealing with each student’s interaction within each of our MOOCs. This session outlines the types of data we are exploring, as well as some of our early findings in exploring the data.
After this session, participants will:
- Identify different types of data sources related to MOOCs, and ways the data can be manipulated and analyzed.
- Describe various trends discovered in the Penn State data that illustrate various student characteristics and behaviors when participating in one of the Penn State MOOCs.
